Fernando P. Ferreira is an architect, artist, and researcher based in Porto, Portugal. His practice-based research connects architectural design with social politics, textile making, storytelling, and performance. Fernando has collaborated with architectural practices based in Porto and London (UK) and teaches regularly at the EAAD  School of Architecture, Art, and Design at Minho’s University in Portugal. Fernando is also the co-founder and director of Space Transcribers, a Portuguese architectural research practice that works through interdisciplinary and socially engaged research projects, curating cultural activities, exhibitions, and editing publications in partnership with Portuguese public institutions and universities. In 2023, Space Transcribers was one of the selected architectural practices to display work at Fertile Futures, the Portuguese representation for the 18th International Exhibition of Architecture – La Biennale di Venezia 2023. Currently, Fernando is finishing a practice-based PhD in architectural design at the Bartlett School of Architecture, UCL in London, titled ‘Factory of Stories: An Architectural Texere from Vale do Ave’.
